Club Happy Dog Boarding

Sleep-Overs at our staff homes is what we want for and give to our own precious pups when we have to be away from them. We do all possible to maintain the secure routines of their familiar little worlds with no stress, and offer the same for regular, trusted CLUB Day Camp members.

We only host up to three dogs per home at any time.

COMPARED TO BOARDING KENNELS

Through no fault of their own, even the largest, most lovely dog kennel boarding facilities cannot offer our view of "wholesome boarding." Dogs must be directed through a rigid food-rest-exercise regime as compared to peaceful home style looseness where our dogs eat, play and rest at whim. At home they snooze deeply on their own comfy beds instead of being in kennel cages, crates or mini rooms with nerve-wracking, often night-long barking from pups upset with the surroundings. Dogs are stressed by the unfamiliar and often crowded settings, and the staffs sapped with peak holiday and summer volumes.

Helpers supervise the play and exercise of loads of varying dogs each day who have challenging dominance jockeying, shyness fear and bullying aggression. The staffers are consumed by dog fight interventions, sometimes getting bit, as well as non-stop cleaning. Neither creates much joy or happiness.

Plus many clients don't appreciate that it is not the fault of the boarding facility when their dog gets diarrhea from all the routine changes, or minor to major injuries from dogs who do not know one another before-hand in the playground, despite prior positive assessments of all.

Boarding facilities can't offer our own precious pups a "paradise" or "utopia" for when we have to be away.
